Qualified candidates must be able to interact well with customers, willing to travel and work independently. There is excellent opportunity for growth within the company from technical divisions, to sales, to management.
Inspection, testing, and installation of fire sprinkler systems, standpipe systems, fire pumps, and clean agent systems at various industrial, commercial and institutional facilities in accordance with NFPA, local and state codes.
Perform inspections, test and repair/replacement of fire hose and fire hydrants.
Other duties may include the inspection of fire alarm systems, kitchen suppression systems and portable fire extinguishers.
Generating reports based on inspection findings.
Minimum 3-5 years experience with fire sprinkler system inspection, testing, troubleshooting and/or installation.
A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of all types of sprinkler systems to include wet, dry, deluge, pre-action systems, fire pumps and associated equipment.
Plan reading and interpretation a plus.
Valid New Jersey Driver's license.
Knowledge of NFPA standards a plus.
Electrical knowledge with fire alarm panels a plus.
Current NICET certification in fire sprinkler subfield a plus. Applicant will be required to obtain certification with 1st year of employment.
Good written and verbal skills.
Must be able to work well on ladders and/or lifts, able to work in crawl spaces and attics, and must be able to lift in excess of 75 lbs.
